Affiliation with ELSA International.

ELSA IE is proud to be affiliated with ELSA International, the largest independent law students' association in the world. ELSA International was established in 1981 and has since grown to encompass over 55,000 members from more than 300 law schools in over 40 countries.

Through our affiliation with ELSA International, ELSA IE members have access to a range of benefits, including:

 

  • Opportunities to network with other law students and professionals from around the world.

  • Access to a wide range of events, seminars, and conferences, both at the local and international level.

  • Opportunities to participate in international legal competitions, such as the ELSA Moot Court Competition, and to attend international legal events, such as the ELSA Law School.

  • Opportunities to develop your skills, both as a law student and as a future legal professional, through participation in ELSA's professional development programs.

The ELSA Structure

International Body

ELSA INTERNATIONAL

The European Law Students' Association is the largest independent law students' association in Europe with over 40,000 members in 44 countries. It was founded in 1981 and serves as the umbrella organization for all ELSA national groups.

National Body

ELSA SPAIN

The Spanish national group of ELSA is responsible for coordinating activities and events for law students in Spain. It is an active member of ELSA International and works closely with other national groups to promote legal education and exchange among European law students.

Local Body

ELSA IE UNIVERSITY

The IE Law School chapter of ELSA is the local group at the IE University in Madrid. Our mission is to promote legal education and exchange among law students at our campus and to provide opportunities for professional and personal development through events and projects. As a part of ELSA International, we are committed to upholding the values and goals of the organization at a local level.
